Vision Meeting
Designing and building a custom home is exciting because the sky’s the limit. But the endless options can feel confusing and overwhelming. That’s why most builders (and their commission salespeople) push you towards a pre-set plan -- so they can get a contract signed and secure a sale. But this almost always results in compromises and long-term regrets.
We do the exact opposite. We take time to listen to the vision you have for your home. And get to know you and your family – your personal style preferences and the way you like to live. Without any hurry or pressure, we’ll help you get clarity around what you really want. And offer suggestions to optimise your design to make the most of your land and get more for your money.
This step is facilitated by the owner of the company (not a commission salesperson) and is completely free and without obligation. While we won’t be able to offer you an accurate quote at this stage, we will give you an honest price guide and construction timeline so you can plan with confidence.
Planning Design
Now it’s time to refine your vision and transfer it into detailed building plans. In this paid step, our designers will create a concept plan which you will refine together. Again, there is no hurry or pressure. And we will guide you in every decision to ensure you get the exact home you want.
To ensure everything is ready for when you want to build, we will arrange professional assessments (soil, engineering, bushfire and flood), and submit your DA Lodgement.
We will also help you make your selections so we can provide you with an all-inclusive fixed price. Once again, our design team will provide guidance and information, so you enjoy the process and feel confident in your decisions.
Contract And Approvals
Unlike many builders who rush you into signing a vague contract full of Cost-Plus items (that are likely to increase in price throughout the build), your contract will be all-inclusive so you know exactly what you are getting and precisely what it will cost.
To ensure your price truly is locked in, you won’t sign your contract until you are ready to build (so there are no surprise price rises). We will also give you access to our Building Management Portal so you can follow every step of your build (including all orders, trades, and progress photos) in real time.
Construction
You’ll meet your Site Supervisor (who you can contact anytime through the Building Management Portal) and watch on as construction begins. Things will appear to move slowly at first as we pay meticulous attention to detail with the construction of your slab. This precise work establishes the foundation for your entire home and is one of the reasons our homes look stunning and last a lifetime. You will be invited onsite to inspect the slab so you can check and appreciate the work that is going into your home.
Once your slab is fully cured, things speed up, starting with the frame. Your home quickly takes shape with the addition of your roof and external cladding. Once again, you will be invited onsite to enjoy the progress firsthand.
Now it’s time to move inside with rough electrical, plumbing, and internal linings. Wet areas are waterproofed before painting, showers, baths, cabinetry, mirrors, lighting, air-conditioning and floorcoverings. Time for another inspection to see your nearly finished home.
Handover
With major construction complete, we carry out numerous rounds of quality assurance, ensuring every detail is perfect. Our cleaning team polish every inch of your home, so it is spotless and ready for you to inspect.
After years of dreaming and planning, and months of construction, we are proud to introduce you to your new home. We will show you every detail (doors, drawers, lights and taps) and explain how everything works. If you spot any concerns, we will fix them immediately.
